Welcome Jennifer Wienke to #Teamexaqueo!

January 2019 is shaping up to be a big chapter in the exaqueo story. As our client work extends even more globally, our business and team are (once again) growing, too. This new year, we’re thrilled to welcome three new members to #teamexaqueo! We will be introducing each of our new team members with a blog post, so without further ado, please let us introduce — Jennifer Wienke!

Jennifer Wienke joins us as a Business Operations Manager. In this role, she is responsible for managing the company's creative process and logistics, capacity planning, and supporting business operations. A seasoned creative agency professional, Jennifer is a Clemson University graduate with more than 17 years of advertising and marketing experience. She joins exaqueo from the Columbia-based advertising firm, Chernoff Newman.

As Jennifer’s “exaqueo buddy,” my role is to offer support and guidance throughout her on-boarding process. (Our team believes on-boarding is a moment that matters in the employment experience, and we’ve thoughtfully crafted a program keeping our new teammates at the center.) Since our team is 100% virtual, I had the pleasure of video chatting with Jennifer to get to know her better.

Shannon (SS): Tell me a little about yourself.

Jennifer (JW): I grew up and now live in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. After graduating from Clemson University and studying Graphic Communications, I move to Charlotte, North Carolina to work in the printing industry. After my first job, I decided to move back home. Here, we have a great family support network with my sister and parents nearby.

SS: What keeps you busy outside of work?

JW: Family time. I have a daughter who is in Girl Scouts, so we are busy selling cookies right now. And, we have family nearby and an active neighborhood. We enjoy being outside together, having friends over, and being out on the water boating.

SS: What was your role before exaqueo?

JW: For the past 12 years, I worked in advertising. My job was to keep all of our projects moving through the agency and working with designers on producing tangible creative assets.

SS: What attracted you to want to join exaqueo?

JW:  I heard about exaqueo from a former colleague. Then, when I was talking with the whole team … I liked the team atmosphere at exaqueo, and how smart and driven everyone is.

SS: What most excites you about your new role?

JW: I’m excited to learn about employer branding. Before coming here, I worked in traditional advertising, so I’m excited to have something new to learn. It’s a new job, new team, and new industry …I’m  ready and excited for the change.

SS: This is your first time as a 100% remote employee. What have you done to get ready?

JW: Above our garage, we set up home office for me. It’s a new way to work and there are still some things I’ll need to figure out.

SS: What impact do you hope to make at exaqueo?

JW: Everything seems extremely organized, so I hope to continue the organization, as well as bring in new processes on the creative side to improve and manage workflow. This will allow our consultants to focus even more on delivering great work to our clients.

Please join me and the entire #teamexaqueo in welcoming Jennifer! Congratulate her on LinkedIn or leave a comment below. And, stay tuned to the exaqueo blog or our Facebook page for more exciting announcements.
