ERE_Fall_2017.pngERE Fall 2017 kicks off today in lovely Minneapolis, Minnesota. And because yours truly went to college in the Twin Cities and ERE is one of our favorite events of the years, we pieced together a quick guide to help you get the most of your time in beautiful Minneapolis.

A little preparation can go a long way and with so much going down at ERE, arriving with a plan of action ain’t nothing to sniff at. So here’s a rundown of the speakers, sessions, parties, restaurants and attractions that are especially worth your while in Minneapolis.

And don’t forget to come say hi to your friends at Entelo because you can bet your britches we’ll be there too: Entelo CEO Jon Bischke will deliver a talk Tuesday morning called “Automation Nation: How AI Will Drive The Modern War for Talent”. We’re also hosting a Happy Hour Tuesday night at Butcher & The Boar and can be found at booth #309.

Where to eat, drink and unwind in Downtown Minneapolis

Zelo - Bet you didn’t know that Minneapolis was a popular destination for Italian immigrants. Zelo is carrying on that tradition with simple, fresh Italian cuisine made from local ingredients. With great reviews, a solid wine list, and close proximity to the Hilton, this could be your spot to load up on the carbs you need for conferencing.

Brit’s Pub - Good food, good beer, good...lawn bowling? If you’re at Brit’s Pub, you’ll get all three of those things. This casual, no-nonsense bar is the perfect place to unwind with a group of your colleagues and friends after a day of workshops and networking.

Hell’s Kitchen - Looking for a breakfast that goes beyond pastries and lukewarm coffee? Then get over to Hell’s Kitchen for a sinfully delicious breakfast. Lemon ricotta pancakes, a peanut butter and bacon burger, and huevos rancheros lead a selection of delightful and inventive dishes.

Barrio - Tacos and Minneapolis may not quite be synonymous, but Barrio offers stellar and authentic Mexican fare and great cocktails to with a great ambience smack dab in the downtown core.

Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant

Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant - Something of a Minneapolis institution, the Dakota Jazz Club is a throwback to the days when Jazz was the coolest music around. These days they still get top notch performers, and if you're looking for a relaxing place to take in some live tunes over dinner, Dakota is your spot.

Surly Brewery - With so many German immigrants making their way to Minnesota, The Twin Cities have a proud tradition of brewing beer, and Surly is probably the best brewery in Minneapolis. Yummy bar bites, a fire pit, and and a massive beer hall make it a great spot to hang out with a group and take in some real live Minnesotan ambience.

Sights, Sounds, and Destinations

Minneapolis Institute of Art - Sporting a world-class art collection, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is well worth a trip for any art lovers.

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden - This downtown sculpture garden is right outside the Walker Art Center and is the perfect place to get some fresh air, enjoy a cup of coffee, or just stretch your legs while taking in some of the house-sized works.

The Basilica of Saint Mary - Built in 1907, the Basilica of Saint Mary is a magnificent example neoclassical architecture and the first Basilica established in the United States.

Minnehaha Park - Featuring a 53 foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, expansive gardens and majestic Mississippi River overlooks, Minnehaha park is an urban oasis well worth visiting during your trip.
