Leadership and the 3 Cs

Leadership has been studied and analyzed so much over the years and there are thousands of books on the subject.  I have been fascinated with leadership and the vast diversity of leaders in the world.  It is amazing to me how much influence a leader can have and the change they can create, if they have the appropriate resources, training, and support along the way.  Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of having stellar role models all of the time, at the same time there is something to learn from every relationship you have.

The good thing is that being a great leader can be learned and I believe by following the three Cs creates a path to success: Care about the employees that work for you, support employees through Career Development, and find a Coach that will encourage self-reflection and motivate individuals to think creatively.

I think many of us can relate to a stressful situation where the leader feels lost, powerless, and overwhelmed.  The light at the end of the tunnel for anyone who is struggling with how to be successful in a leadership role is that you can make small changes that lead to big results.
