At Entelo, we have always been committed to supporting our community. In keeping with our core value of “helping people find work they love,” we are excited to play a part in helping local, low-income adults gain in-demand professional skills, enabling them to launch new careers to support themselves and their families.

With our latest partnership with the Stride Center, we’ll go even further to impact people and communities through meaningful employment. The Stride Center helps low-income adults become self-sufficient by providing them education, training and job skills in the information technology field. Stride Center graduates find jobs that help them earn, on average, 40% more than they earned prior to their enrollment.

Entelo recently welcomed 15 Stride Center students, faculty and staff to our San Francisco office for a one-day career development and training workshop. We kicked off the day by helping Stride Center students curate their social profiles with an eye toward employability and professionalism. We then worked with the students to prepare an “elevator pitch” about themselves to help them capitalize on networking opportunities and advance their careers.

Through rounds of speed networking, they were able to practice their new pitches. At the end of the day, we held rounds of mock interviews with the students, coaching them on how best to present themselves to prospective employers.

We are thrilled to build our community’s engagement through this multi-faceted partnership. In addition to spending time with Entelo employees in the career development day, Stride Center graduates will have opportunities to connect online with companies searching for candidates through the Entelo platform. Finally, one Stride Center student will be granted a full ride technology certification scholarship for every hire made by our customers. By engaging with a community partner in meaningful ways, Entelo employees gain a better awareness of some of the challenges and needs in our community, along with more dedication to helping those less fortunate.

Our partnership with the Stride Center is only a small representation of Entelo’s social impact efforts. From the onset, we’ve offered a company match of up to $1,000 per employee for charitable donations. In our Hiring for Good partnership with CodeEd, we donate one year’s worth of coding education to an underprivileged middle school girl every time one of our customers makes a hire. We also volunteer at our local food banks and shelters.

We could continue on about how we’re focused on helping the community around us, but if you’re interested in joining our movement to build a great product and team while improving the world we live in, connect with us. We are hiring.
