Namely Wins 3 Culture & Leadership Awards

Last week, Comparably announced the winners of its 2021 Best Places to Work Awards. To determine the recipients of these, Comparably asked employees across the country to rate their company’s culture and leadership anonymously. Out of tens of thousands of companies, Namely was recognized as one of the top small and midsize companies for Best CEOs for Diversity, Best Leadership Teams, and Best Career Growth.

Since he was appointed CEO in 2019, Larry Dunivan has made diversity a top priority at Namely. By encouraging employee activism and working closely with Employee Resource Groups, Dunivan and the rest of Namely’s leadership team constantly strive to build a diverse workforce.

Through enabling employees to act on and own advancing diversity and inclusion at Namely, the executive leadership team is incredibly effective in supporting issues of social justice, advocacy, and allyship in the workplace. 

For instance, Namely’s SpeakHer Mind program is geared toward combating gender inequality in the workplace, deliberately empowering women through amplifying their voices and providing professional resources to aid in their development.

"Diversity in the workplace is promoted by our CEO,” explained a Namely employee in a Comparably survey. “He and the other leaders are always striving to utilize each individual's unique strengths.”

From launching mentorship programs to offering learning and development opportunities, Namely also makes employees’ career growth a top priority. On top of incorporating career development into the performance review process, leaders regularly have conversations with their direct reports about upskilling, career pathing, and networking. 

“At Namely, leaders genuinely care about your professional development,” expressed another employee. “Every 3 months, my manager hosts meetings with each person on our team to discuss career growth. We talk about the skills we want to develop, L&D opportunities we want to participate in, and long-term goals we want to work towards.”

Looking ahead, Namely will continue to cultivate a culture that embraces diversity, collaboration, learning, and growth.
