Eightfold honoring military, first responders at national “Carry the Load” event

Eightfold is continuing its support for the military, firefighters, and others serving the nation by participating in Friday’s rally called “Carry the Load.”

Carry The Load is an annual event that asks Americans to do something in May and over Memorial Day weekend to honor the sacrifices made by military, veterans, first responders, and their families. Americans are asked to honor a hero by flying a flag, teaching a child a patriotic lesson, or sharing their support for military and other service members.

Typically, the marquee part of the event is a live relay across the country. This year, it’s a virtual event, with people from every corner of America walking and posting short videos of themselves honoring friends, family, and even people they’ve never met, who are operating in harm’s way.

Eightfold employees in multiple states are filming videos of themselves walking in their states as they “Carry The Load”.

“It is a sincere honor to be an Ambassador to Carry The Load and to bring the mission to Eightfold,” says Eightfold’s Ryan Epstein. “I am extremely proud to be a part of the Eightfold family where it truly is our mission to solve for employment for everyone in the world.”

The Carry the Load involvement is one part of Eightfold’s larger support for the military. Eightfold is currently one of five semi-finalists in a Veterans Employment Challenge to develop a job-matching system for the U.S. government. Eightfold’s artificial intelligence can be used by companies to pick up where military-skills translation leaves off, diving deeply into the skills a military veteran has that can be put to use in private- or public-sector jobs.
