There are three major magical gift giving people in my children’s world: Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. Let’s face it-the first two are awesome. They show up on time and with the goods. But the last? Many, many Tooth Fairies are horrible, unreliable, and sometimes even resort to exchanging the tooth for money while the child is awake.

  1. yep, you nailed it. When the tooth fairy is told that she should have paid for that tooth yesterday – but, she is only told about it coming out AFTER it came out doesn’t make anyone look good.

    Too often though, the tooth fairy is blamed for not knowing; when it is management who didn’t inform her – not even to tell her to be ready when the tooth first came loose.
