The Common Denominator between Graduation & Implementation: The Unknown

This time of year is full of excitement. School is ending and summer is right around the corner. For some, an even more exciting milestone is occurring; graduation. Although graduation is a very exciting time, it can also come with A LOT of unknowns. This can also be said after the purchase of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The inevitable step after graduation is to get a job and work. The inevitable step after purchasing a software is implementation.

We all know sales people tend to promise the moon. They show you 2,387 brands of whatever product are buying, you finally settle on one and then they send you home with either paper directions (that you know you won’t read) or a 1(800) number that is not domestic. You MAYBE even get a “Good Luck” as you’re exiting the store.

This guy is a lot like a one of those sales people. He is selling the scholastic greatness of Georgia Tech to group of freshman students that they can accomplish anything by being a student at Georgia Tech.

But what comes after graduation? You have all these expectations of what life is going to be like, but more often than not, there are a lot of unknowns. How does one retain everything they have ever been taught or shown? This is a lot like an implementation after you have purchased a new HCM software. You sit through what seems like countless vendor demos, you finally make a selection, purchase it and then sign all the contracts, but now what? What are the next steps? Where do you start? Who do you call? Are there paper directions? A 1(800) number?

The answer to all of these questions is yes. HRchitect can be your guide to a plethora of unknowns that inevitably come up when implementing a new HCM technology. We can help with pre- implementations, post implementations, change management and project management. So, don’t think you’re on your own after a big software purchase. HRchitect is here to help with all of your unknowns that come up during an implementation, because at the end of the day the best software for your company is a successfully implemented one.
