Sysmex’s Talent Development Team earned a gold and a silver award by executing on the company’s commitment to offer development and education to all of their associates.  The team developed a comprehensive strategy that integrated multiple technology platforms and utilized a focused cadence of communications. This strategy resulted in a significant increase in learner engagement as associates have gained new skills and knowledge due to the strategic combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities provided by the Sysmex University programs.  The team also implemented many innovative solutions through new partnerships and by optimizing learning and develop methodologies.

After completing a comprehensive learning needs analysis and implementing changes, participation in the programs offered through Sysmex University steadily increased over the last year. The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic required the Talent Development team to pivot quickly to modify learning and development offerings for associates across the US, Canada and Latin America.

“Our Talent Development team, consisting of Erin Dunstan, Kim Rihman, Jennifer Greenberg and Simi Kang, is dedicated to helping our associates learn and grow. Within the last two years, they completely redesigned the training and development programs based on the results of an extensive learning needs assessment. This effort allowed for training to be modified and delivered in more of a just-in-time format to our 1,200 associates throughout North and South America,” said Karen Stoneman, Vice President of Human Resources at Sysmex America. “I am very proud of the results of this team and the impact that they have made and will continue to make in the future.”
