The Newly Expanded Talent Blog: Your Source for Everything Talent and HR

The Talent Blog expands!

Today is a big day for the Talent Blog. We are no longer a talent acquisition-only publication – we are expanding to be a home for HR collaboration and innovation.

For the first time, the blog will completely live up to its name and cover talent from A to Z, nose to tail, talent acquisition to talent development. We think it's the right move for the blog and the right move for HR.

As a part of this move, you will start seeing our L&D content on this blog. A warm welcome to the L&D community, as well as the new readers from employee experience and HR. We are excited to showcase opportunities for organizations to break down silos and create a more holistic employee experience.

Why are we broadening our scope?

The world of work has undergone such dramatic changes in the last few years, packing decades worth of transformation into a few months. A big part of that evolution has been the tighter connection and increased mutual dependence between what have historically been distinct HR departments. Challenging topics such as hybrid work, the skills gap, and diversity, equity, and inclusion require all hands — and all brains — on deck.

With that in mind, we are eager to expand our scope to a broader range of issues associated with the future of work (can’t lie, the four-day workweek has long been a favorite topic of ours).

We believe that bringing these topics together is going to facilitate an exchange of knowledge and opportunities for collaboration between HR professionals and ultimately will help you, our community, along the way to the future of work.

So, what’s new?

  • Content: The immediate change that you will see, starting today, is the variety of topics we cover. Check out the blog menu above – our scope (and navigation bar) just got a whole lot bigger.
  • Newsletters: If you haven’t already done so, subscribe to our blog newsletter. We have added tailored newsletter tracks for recruiting and learning and development. For those who want all the goodness, fear not, we also have a newsletter rounding up the best of the Talent Blog.
  • Improved user experience (to come!): The dream is to create a site where you can find the content that’s most helpful to you right away and connect with your peers to discuss and learn. To accomplish that, we are working hard on a blog redesign in the next few months. Keep an eye out for our blog makeover.

When we started off as a blog 13+ years ago, we had a clear mission. We wanted to be a place where our readers could turn for insight and inspiration, but also a place where they could feel at home. A place where the community could feel understood and celebrated.

Thank you for being part of our expanding community. We hope that you will join us and make this your new home for all things talent and HR!
