Two years ago, it launched a series of employee resource groups, each of which includes an executive sponsor from the leadership team, and it includes DE&I metrics in its engagement data. They can hear from our CEO as well; Jon answers a lot of the questions really transparently and I think that helps people feel at ease.

The VP of talent acquisition or recruitment often reports to the CHRO. In turn, this strategy aligns with the broader organizational strategy.

For example, if your company uses Total Shareholder Return (TSR ) as a key performance metric, the HR leader should know the specific metrics that drive TSR. A need for strong, capable HR leaders.
