What’s next for Paddle HR

Sid and I are thrilled to share some big news: we are starting a new chapter in our journey to help more people build great careers within their companies. We are joining LinkedIn.

When we started Paddle HR six years ago, we were inspired by a desire to help people make big changes in their career – because it’s these big swings that have the greatest impact on our lives.

Today, we are making a big change too, one that just makes sense. We saw that people were happier and did better when working toward their goals and dreams – and employers who helped them benefited from higher retention, more nimble, diverse teams and developed new skills in-house. As the world’s largest platform for professionals, LinkedIn is in the business of helping people realize exactly these types of goals: career changes that lead to a better life.

We’re thrilled about this new chapter and much of the Paddle HR team, including Sid and I, will join LinkedIn to continue championing skills-based internal mobility, career pathing and talent marketplaces while we sunset Paddle HR later this year.

This transition could not be happening at a more opportune time. Following two years of disrupted work, new routines and “the Great Reshuffle,” employees are reconsidering their careers more now than at any other point in our generation. People are asking themselves: what do I want to do, what do I know how to do and how can I bridge the gap between the two?

To help answer that question, our team built one of the world’s first career mobility platforms to guide employees into new jobs where they already worked. We combined AI-driven career pathing that helped people understand their in-house career possibilities with a robust talent marketplace that matched skills to in-demand projects, gigs and jobs within their company.

We are so proud to have helped thousands of employees dramatically change their careers for the better – all while staying in companies they love. We are excited to help millions more from within LinkedIn.

We send our thanks to Paddle HR’s trailblazing clients, our incredibly talented past and present team and the investors and advisors who helped us build this company over the past six years.

To a big swing and a big paddle forward.

Pat & Sid
