New overtime regulations will affect over 4 million workers.

Effective December 1, 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is expanding overtime protection to more employees by increasing the salary threshold for the executive, administrative, and professional white-collar exemptions from the overtime provisions. Businesses that currently have exempt employees making more than $23,660 but less than $47,476 annually will be significantly affected by the change.
