At WorkTango, we believe in the power of employee appreciation. We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible employees who stand behind our mission to improve work lives.

So, for our next feature in our Employee Spotlight blog series, we’re highlighting one of our Senior Account Executives here at WorkTango: Leslie M. The Account Executives are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people we have here at WorkTango, and since it’s Women’s History Month, we wanted to showcase Leslie as a true example of a powerful, intelligent woman that we are all grateful to work with. Leslie has been with the company for over 4 years.

1. What made you choose to join the WorkTango team?

I came from the political world and was looking not only for a cultural change, but a company that made a positive difference.  WorkTango fit those needs!

2. What are you currently enjoying most about your role here at WorkTango?

There are a lot of wonderful things that I enjoy about WorkTango and my role as a Sr. Account Executive here.

If I had to pick one, it’s the ability to speak with so many different people at different organizations.  Selling the employee experience when every organization I speak with has a different interpretation of what that looks like. Every different experience makes each conversation unique and strategic. It’s like a puzzle I need to figure out each time.

3. What aspects of WorkTango’s purpose do you identify with?

I think the “Improve (work) lives” is something I identify with most at WorkTango.

We spend most of our day, most of our lives, at work – which is really sad if you don’t enjoy what you do.  What I think I love most about WorkTango is knowing that I can’t change the job someone is in, but I can change how their relationship with their boss is fostered, and I can change if they feel included and seen.  That all really matters.

4. What’s your favorite productivity hack?

To-do lists.  I have a to-do list for my to-do list!  It’s amazing what I could forget if I don’t write it down!

5. If you could wake up anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to be?

As I’m a new mother, always chasing sleep…so I’d choose not to wake up too early 😊.  But I think I could really use some R&R at the beach… so I’ll say a favorite: Bora Bora!

6. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Teleport.  This has only been emphasized since having my son.

I would LOVE a trip away for a day and dinner with my husband, but also be home with the little guy by bedtime.

7. Who is the most influential person/people for you and why?

There were so many people who made me who I am today and I am grateful for each of them.

The person, however, that I think has made me into the person I am TODAY is my husband, Troy.  Troy is far and away the hardest working person I know, but also the kindest.  Never does an ambulance or fire truck pass that he doesn’t say out loud, “I hope everyone is okay.”  He believes in sending the elevator back down when you get to the top, that our purpose is to leave the world and every person you encounter, a little better.  He leaves for the office before the sun rises most days and isn’t done until the sun has set, but makes sure to rush home in between for our son’s bath time and bedtime.  He just makes me better by being around him.

At WorkTango, we believe that by putting our people first, ensuring their voices are heard, and making sure every team member feels appreciated for their work, they will continue to drive us forward as an organization. Today, we are grateful for Leslie, who improves work lives every day by showcasing the value of our platform to prospects to transform their business. Thank you, Leslie!
