Dublin - 23 September 2021 –WorkhumanOpens in a new tab®, pioneers of the human workplace, has been named number two in the medium business category on the Best Workplaces in Europe™ in 2021Opens in a new tab list by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. This new honour comes on the heels of Workhuman being named one of Ireland's Best Workplaces in Tech in 2021, featured on Ireland's Best Workplaces 2021 list and recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women.
This year’s Best Workplaces in Europe™, in collaboration with The Economist Group, provides unparalleled opportunities to share their exceptional workplaces stories with highly targeted and qualified audiences across Europe. To be named as best in Europe, companies must first rank highest on Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces™ National Lists across the region. This recognition is based on confidential survey data assessing employee experiences of trust, innovation, company values and leadership. Companies are also evaluated on how well they are creating a For All™ workplace experience, inclusive of all employees no matter who they are or what they do. This year, COVID-19 brought physical and mental well-being front of mind for both employers and employees.
“From remote working, lockdowns, and learning to deal with a whole new reality, the past year has tested workplaces like never before,” said Steve Pemberton, Workhuman CHRO. “Workhuman is on a mission to bring more humanity to work, and our own inspired humans have helped leading global brands build cultures of gratitude, celebration, and human connection. This award truly tells the story of how our people have adapted and how we’ve continued to support and champion each other through the pandemic. Because without our humans, it’s just work.”
When people are recognised and celebrated at work, they thrive – and so does business. For over 20 years, Workhuman has pioneered the global technology that brings more humanity to work. Workhuman is building more human workplaces for companies across the world by creating cultures of gratitude that see lowered turnover, improved performance, and increased engagement.
“The Best Workplaces in Europe™ have set a new standard of care for employees across a variety of industries,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “These companies are led by the type of leaders who pride themselves on supporting the needs of their employees. They create flexible working environments where anyone can thrive, no matter who they are or what they do for the business. Congratulations to the Best Workplaces in Europe™ in 2021.”

How Great Place to Work determines the Best Workplaces in Europe™
Great Place to Work® identifies the Best Workplaces in Europe™ by surveying employees about the key factors that create great workplaces for all and analysing company workplace programs impacting over 1 million employees in Europe.
To be considered, companies must first be identified as outstanding in their local region by appearing on one or more of our Best Workplaces™ national lists in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey and United Kingdom during 2020 or early 2021.
Companies rank in four size categories: small (10 to 49 employees); medium (50 to 499 employees); large (500+); and multinational. Multinational organisations are also assessed on their efforts to create great workplaces across multiple countries in the region. They must appear on at least three national lists in Europe and have at least 1,000 employees worldwide with at least 40% (or 5,000) of those employees located outside the headquarters country.
