Make your Open Enrollment Season Shine with a New Enrollment Experience

Open enrollment season shine

Open enrollment season is right around the corner, and getting a head start on your preparations will make for a smooth enrollment process. What else will help ease that process? A refreshed benefits enrollment experience for your end-users. This new enrollment experience in your UKG Ready® solution will provide more visual improvements on benefit plan details, resulting in a more organized view and better visibility into items that need to be completed. Let’s explore the new features from the refreshed experience and how to prepare your organization for the upcoming open enrollment process.

Features to get excited about

You and Your Family page. The You and Your Family page will appear in the enrollment process, where employees can review their family’s details for changes since last year or add new dependents. When employees select their benefits, they will be able to select coverage for the people who are listed on the page.

New Benefit Cards. The Benefit Cards provide you with a view of all of the Benefit Plan details such as provider information, plan highlights and documents, and up to eight of your comparison features. The Benefit Cards are where you will select your coverage levels and plan.

Benefits Summary Card feature. This new feature will provide you with better visibility into the total cost of the coverage selected. The Benefits Summary Card will update as you add benefit selections to reflect the pricing. And on your final summary page, you will see your benefit selections and the total cost breakdown.

How to prepare

While the back-end configuration of the benefits functionality has not changed, there are some things to consider when preparing your organization for open enrollment. To ensure your employees get the most value out of this new experience, you’ll want to configure the different Employee Self Service (ESS) items, benefits features, and contact settings.

Consider adding your benefits providers’ logos, websites, plan documents, and descriptions to help provide better visibility and recognition of your providers. Additionally, it is recommended to configure your Comparison Features such as deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, co-pays, emergency costs, and more. These features allow your employees to see what types of expenses will apply in different scenarios and help to compare their plan options. All of these features will appear in the Benefit Cards. Providing more details about your various vendors and plans gives your employees better decision-making opportunities to find the right plan that fits them and their families.

Lastly, your employee contact settings must be enabled properly to ensure the You and Your Family page will have its full effect. Confirm that your employees have access to their account contacts in their security profile and that the appropriate contact types and fields are visible in the Account Contact Global Settings.
