What are Release Notes?
Release Notes are instructional guides and typically cover new product features or enhancements and how to use them. They can also document when something that wasn’t working properly has been fixed, often referred to as bug fixes.
Where do I find Release Notes and how often should I be reviewing them?
Depending on the UKG solutions you’re using, Release Notes can be found in a few different places. The UKG Community™ Library is home to Release Notes for your UKG Pro® and UKG Dimensions® solutions, while Release Notes for your UKG Ready® solution can be found within the solution itself.

UKG Pro
From the homepage of the UKG Community, select Learn > UKG Pro > Go to Library > UKG Pro Release > UKG Pro Release Notes.
This will bring you to all the Release Notes for UKG Pro going back 365 days. That’s a lot of information, because in addition to two major upgrades each calendar year, smaller updates are being made on a weekly basis. Roughly 924 Release Notes are posted annually for UKG Pro.
Checking UKG Pro Release Notes every week would be ideal, but we understand everyone is trying to manage hectic schedules. That’s why we created tools to help you find what you need.
The filter on the left side of the UKG Pro Release Notes page allows you to sort by date or category. You can also use the search field at the top of the page. As you type, category suggestions will appear below.
For more advanced filtering options, you can click the “Download” link for all available Release Notes and then search through in an Excel document.
UKG Dimensions
In the UKG Community, go to Learn > UKG Dimensions > Go to documentation and service packs > Documentation > UKG Dimensions to select Release Notes for UKG Dimensions WFM and UKG Dimensions HCM. Major upgrades for UKG Dimensions typically occur every few months, but there are also smaller updates taking place almost every week.
If you miss a week or want to look up Release Notes from a while ago, you can click on the question mark icon within your UKG Dimensions solution. You can also type “Dimensions Release Notes” in the search bar in the UKG Community.
UKG Ready
There are two ways to access Release Notes within your UKG Ready solution. You can go to My Info > Help > Download Documentation or you can click on the question mark icon, which will open the documentation site where you can select the Release Notes tile. The documentation site houses a library of the 12 most recent Release Notes. It also has search capabilities based on key words or phrases and each document can be downloaded as a PDF.
Upgrades for UKG Ready and the corresponding Release Notes come out every other month.
