Seven UKG Ready Enhancements You Don’t Want to Miss

Teamwork

Mark your calendars, the June release will arrive soon! Brad Nycz, UKG Ready® Executive Relationship Director and a former customer himself, has chosen seven upcoming enhancements you won’t want to miss. So, let’s dive in and see what you can look forward to later in June.

Broadcast Communication Expanded to More Pages

Are you taking full advantage of our Broadcast Communicator? If not, this enhancement just might convince you to try it out! We’re adding a Communicate button option to several different areas in your solution, including the:

  • All Timesheet Report page
  • Team Member Report page
  • My To Do Items page

This means admins will be able to easily send mass communications through the broadcast communicator without having to navigate back to the Employee Information report page to send the message. Some example communications to send your employees could be around finalizing their timesheets or a reminder to review their benefits as you prepare to head into Open Enrollment.

Custom Form Layout Change

You asked and we delivered. Custom Forms will now have two different layout options: a Form View and an Image View. This enhancement was our #1 most-voted customer idea in the UKG Community™ for Custom Forms. The Form view will allow users to input data directly into the form and eliminate the side-by-side view to give your organization more flexibility around custom forms and simplify the process of creating and editing custom forms. But fear not, if you prefer the data field entry view, you’ll still be able to find it below the Image View.

Authentication Self Rollout

As many of you know, UKG is rolling out several security enhancements to better protect your organization and your data. For UKG Ready customers, we’ll give your organization control over when to turn on these security requirements in the June release. This will give you the ability to decide how you’ll roll these changes out to your employees. We understand that every organization is different, and now you’ll gain the ability to choose what rollout strategy works best for your teams. It’s important to note that you will have until August to roll out these requirements on your own. In August, UKG Ready will enforce these requirements for all organizations. You can find more information on the security requirements and the enforcement dates on our UKG Ready Release Readiness page under “Security Update Resources.”

Drag and Drop Scheduling

Exciting news! Save time and effort with the introduction of Drag and Drop Scheduling in this release. This feature will be available in the Advanced AND Basic Scheduler Week View on both the mobile and desktop versions of your UKG Ready solution. Drag and Drop Scheduling will allow you to quickly make adjustments to the schedule for any given day by simply dragging and dropping shift assignments instead of manually updating them. With the June release, this feature will only be available in the Week View, but be on the lookout in the next couple of releases for it to be added to the Day View.

Day View for Basic Scheduling

Back in the April release, we introduced a new Week View for those with the Basic Scheduling module. This view was simpler, cleaner, and more efficient. With this release, you’ll gain access to a new Day View that will make it easier for you to look at your daily schedule, identify where you may have any gaps, and ensure all shifts are properly staffed. Like the Week View, you’ll gain the ability to color code shifts and use single or mass action options.

Deduction Eligibility Settings

Have you ever wished you could set up a rule around deductions and when your employees are eligible for them? Well, soon you’ll be able to! With our new Deduction Eligibility Settings enhancement, you’ll gain easy access to create and set rules for deductions to automatically start based on hire or start dates and hours worked. This will save you time and alleviate the effort of having to manually adjust deductions on an employee’s paycheck.

Payroll Comparison Report

The final enhancement we’re covering today is the introduction of the Payroll Comparison Report. This report will allow you to quickly identify any changes and differences there may be in payroll from week to week. The Payroll Comparison Report will also drill down into the different components that make up the payroll process, including the number of paid employees, the number of pay statements, deductions, earnings, net pay, reimbursement, and taxes to uncover any variances.
