Four Helpful Learning Resources You May Not Know About

Learning Resources

In our roles as executive relationship managers at UKG, we speak daily to customers like you from various industry verticals and backgrounds. Almost all of them have one thing in common: They don’t know how much easier UKG can make their lives.

“I didn’t know UKG could do that,” is a phrase we hear often.

Here are four resources to start using today that can help you leverage your UKG products:

1. Learning Journeys

Everyone learns in different ways and sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. Have you been asking yourself, “What courses do I take and when?” Then check out our Learning Journeys.

A Learning Journey is a grouping of key courses you should complete to learn how to use your UKG solutions. UKG Learning Journeys provide guidance on what to take, when to take it, and in what order, to gradually strengthen your knowledge. You can take the courses in the Learning Journeys sequentially to gradually strengthen your knowledge of that area. For every area of focus within your UKG Pro Workforce Management solution, we have a Learning Journey available.

To get started, enroll in the Learning Journeys applicable to your product. Select a link on the Learning Journey Header (shown below) to navigate to a Learning Journey and contact [email protected] with any questions, feedback, or suggestions.

2. Take a Test Drive with the UKG Pro Experience

Testing in your production environment can have huge risks. Employee data can be obscured, and payroll can become inaccurate. The UKG answer for this is a demo environment that we call the UKG Pro Experience.

Within the UKG Community™, you can easily access the demo environment and take a test drive with the UKG Pro Experience, which allows you to:

  • Explore UKG Pro solution features
  • Try our solutions before activation
  • Reinforce your learning
  • Share your knowledge

Take a look around, try out different settings, and get acclimated to your solutions in an environment that won’t impact your business operations.

3. Join a Discussion Group

Knowing that you’re never alone in your UKG experience is important. UKG takes support seriously and we want to provide you with as many resources as we can. That’s why we’ve created UKG Discussion Groups.

One of the most common sentiments among customers we speak with is that they don’t know the new UKG Community provides direct access to chat with groups of likeminded individuals on issues that are important to you. Discussion Groups allow you to stay up to date with people and discussions that matter to you, share your expertise, and learn from your peers.

Let’s say, for example, you’re a payroll professional working in the retail and hospitality industry. You could sign up for our UKG Pro Payroll and Retail, Hospitality & Food Service groups to get insight into topics, features, and tips that best apply to your business.

You can search, sort, and join any group to connect with your Community neighbors. The groups page layout organized by category makes it easier to find groups for your industry, UKG solutions, and other shared areas of interest. You can even select to receive weekly update emails, so you never miss out on the popular conversations.

4. Recorded Demonstrations

Whether you’re interested in something new or need a refresher on a solution, we offer recorded video demonstrations with subject matter experts that walk you through a high-level overview of each product.

We know you’re super busy, so this enables your team to walk through a demo when they have time. Let’s say you have performance review season coming up and it’s been a long time since you looked at that portion of your solution. By watching a video demo, you can take yourself through a quick refresher at your own leisure.

From the Learning Journeys and UKG Pro Experience to Discussion Groups and Recorded demos, we have the tools to help you become successful and overcome any learning curve when your new to UKG solutions. This serves as a great starting point for any newly onboarded administrators or for any existing ones needing a refresher. Happy learning!
