Creating World-Class Technology for All

Hugo Sarrazin posing with the UKG EPIC team

For those of us at UKG, October is synonymous with hope, purpose, and resolution.

We start fresh with a new fiscal year and honor the incredible merger that officially made us UKG. And for me personally, I celebrate my own decision to join UKG as chief product and technology officer.

This October marks two years since I took the leap to lead UKG’s Engineering, Product, Innovation, and Cloud team (EPIC for short), and I can honestly say I’m more excited today than when I first joined the company.

We’re not just creating easy-to-use HCM solutions (although we are!), but they are full-suite solutions that put people first and create great places to work for ALL. Does it get any better than that? Our purpose is people, and our purpose drives me every single day. Not only does it drive me, but it drives our entire UKG journey.

Hugo Sarrazin UKG quote

Inspiring every organization to be a great place to work

At UKG, that purpose is realized in our unified suite strategy and by ensuring those suites are resilient and serviceable to create a world-class experience for our customers.

Our relentless focus on culture, innovation, and exceptional service at UKG means we are …

1. Growing.

This expansion spans the globe, amplified by the recent acquisition of Immedis, and our strengthened presence in Uruguay, Ireland, Bulgaria, and more.

2. Passionately focused on customers.

It doesn’t matter what area of the organization you look at, every single one is committed to being a better partner to our customers. Within the product and technology organization at UKG, we’ve adopted a service ownership and enterprise mindset, our roadmap is driven by customer requests, and we’ve brought our developers closer to our customers by keeping them involved with the support of the software once it’s been delivered.

Our product roadmap is driven by customer requests.

3. A great place to work for ALL.

We’re leading in the way that we focus on people and culture. You can see it in the nine employee resource groups we have at UKG, in our Close the Gap initiative, and in how we’re recognized as a great workplace for women technologists … just to name a few.

4. Doubling down on innovation.

The proof is in the pudding with the launch of UKG FleX and the Great Place to Work Hub; our focus on GenAI; the acquisitions of Ascentis, Quorbit, and Immedis; our commitment to serve the entire market—from large enterprise organizations to thriving small businesses; our innovation-fueled Catalyst team with 48 Hours, Spark[Tank], the UKG Labs, and our patent program. The list goes on.

5. Being recognized.

Look at what the analysts are saying … from Forrester, Gartner, Nucleus, NelsonHall, and Fosway Group, UKG remains the market leader and premier provider of HCM solutions. Plus, we’re winning awards for both our products and our culture—from great workplace awards to recognition of our products and services.

6. Going to disrupt the market.

There is more opportunity than ever for a full-suite HCM solution built for all. Today, we’re positioned to better support our frontline workers; to better engage our hybrid workforces; to consolidate and simplify technology; and to help organizations make smart, strategic decisions about their workforce based on data. We have solutions to meet each one of these critical needs!

Simply put, it’s an exciting time to be at UKG.

We’re passionate about our technology; we’re passionate about supporting our customers; we’re passionate about developing our own people; and we’re passionate about sharing our inspiring workplace with you to help every organization become a great place to work.

I can’t wait to see what we’ll collectively accomplish this year. I hope you’ll join us on this journey.
