Many a times in non profit world , employee recognition takes a back seat as the non-profit tries to recognize the donors for their support.

Non Profits are good in recognizing the contributions made by the donors. They also recognize the efforts of volunteers. In their willingness and eager to do more , they end up not recognizing the employee efforts. But especially when there is lot of effort from employees, they need to be motivated and suitable rewarded. Working for a non profit is very different from corporate regular jobs. So it is absolutely necessary for Nonprofits to take time to find suitable platform for employee recognition.

Non Profits also have a very tight budget and they cannot afford monetary rewards. But they can be creative in assigning non monetary rewards like prime parking spots, time off, free hours, lunch with the manager , employee of the month plaque, getting to choose the lunch menu  and much more. You can be creative based on your average employee age and what motivates them.

Non profits can make use of free software recognition platforms and create a motivating and happy environment for their employees.
