The Importance of Workplace Culture, People, and Relationships

Share:

BRI is thankful for our workplace connections.

Thanksgiving is so close we can smell the turkey, stuffing, and fixings! ? This time of year has everyone reflecting on what they’re thankful for and getting in the holiday spirit as December quickly approaches. At BRI, we’re no different as we too have been asking ourselves, “What are we thankful for?” ? After asking team members, our leadership team, and customers, a theme emerged: workplace culture, people, and relationships are cherished most.

“The way your employees feel is the way your customers will feel. And if your employees don’t feel valued, neither will your customers.”

– Sybil F. Stershic, Taking Care of the People Who Matter Most: A Guide to Employee-Customer Care

WE’RE THANKFUL FOR OUR: Culture and Relationships

Culture is the environment fostered for employees. Workplace culture and relationships play an influential role in determining progression, relationships, and overall satisfaction. It comprises the organization’s leadership, values, beliefs, traditions, interactions, behaviors, and attitudes that build the emotional and relational environment for the workplace. Many companies struggle and fail to implement effective ways to improve their corporate culture and employee relations.

?The SHRM Foundation released a study that revealed that organizations that succeed put their employees first. BRI prides itself on creating an environment for not only clients but employees as well.

Recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, BRI is proud to be listed once again on the 2021 Greater Rochester Chamber Top 100 list of fastest-growing, privately-owned companies. ? BRI CEO, Jason Hall, commended the hard work and dedication of the BRI team members who give their all every day to provide exceptional service to our clients.

WE’RE THANKFUL FOR OUR: Entrepreneurial Spirit and Employee Growth

BRI is built on integrity and the entrepreneurial spirit. The entrepreneurial spirit is a mindset. It’s an approach to thinking that actively seeks change and an attitude that doesn’t wait to adapt to change. This mindset brings growth by embracing critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous improvement. It’s about taking pride and ownership within your organization.

To have a culture built by the entrepreneurial spirit, you need people who think that anything is possible and have the tenacity to follow through. Outstanding results can be seen in profitability and contribute to increases in employee satisfaction, retention, public image, and productivity.

“At BRI, we believe if we create an extraordinary employee experience, our teams can deliver a superior client experience.”

– Casey Burke, BRI Marketing Manager

WE’RE THANKFUL FOR OUR: Focus on Pandemic Adaptability

Although the pandemic has shaken up the last two years and shifted the day-to-day operations, BRI has remained focused on prioritizing employee and customer connections. Working remotely, canceled in-person events, and communication struggles caught many businesses by surprise in 2020. BRI, like many others, needed to get creative when it came to working through a pandemic.

Although we’re not all in the office, BRI hosted webinars, team activities, and virtual events to stay connected. BRI implemented live chat features and virtual how-to guides for employees and customers to utilize to ease the transition to remote working. BRI has kept employee satisfaction at the forefront and client retention at an all-time high by championing ideas. So before we sit around a table eating way too much delicious food, we want to thank our fantastic team and client community. We wouldn’t be here without you!

ADAPTABLE. STREAMLINED. INDEPENDENT. DEDICATED. TRUSTWORTHY.

If these are the qualities you’re looking for, you’re looking for BRI.
