Why was the PlanSource Partner Marketplace created?

The Partner Marketplace aims to solve four main problems related to lifestyle benefits while also focusing on saving time, furthering benefit education and streamlining processes for the most efficient experience on all ends.

4 lifestyle benefit challenges:

  1. Too much choice – Too much choice leads to analysis paralysis and increased inefficiency. It’s simply impossible and too overwhelming to sift through every option available today.
  2. Lack of education – Inadequate benefit education and communications during the enrollment period creates poor employee engagement and can lead to low utilization.
  3. No upfront review of partners – No upfront review leads to a less than optimal experience. For the best customer experience both at the buyer and employee member level, brokers need to know the best fit partners on PlanSource technology.
  4. Administrative burden – Administrative work for customers is a barrier to including the solution in their benefits package. Why would you add a partner if it creates more work? We make it easy.

What does the Partner Marketplace cover?

Including more than 75 partners across more than 40 categories, the Partner Marketplace offers a full selection of point solutions, lifestyle benefits and voluntary benefits. The Marketplace makes it easy for resellers and customers to activate the products used in the design of the benefits offering. On average, customers have 2 to 3 solutions from the Partner Marketplace¹.

The four main categories of the Partner Marketplace are:

  • Asset Protection – Asset Protection encompasses all aspects of protecting one’s assets and financial plans. Protecting your home, car and identity are key components of this category.
  • Health – Health refers to your overall wellbeing and healthiness. This includes your diet, sleep, and mental and physical health, covering you from head to toe as an addition to traditional medical, dental and vision benefits.
  • Lifestyle Planning – Lifestyle Planning refers to how you plan for the future and incorporate your career, personal and financial goals.
  • Wealth – The Wealth category includes benefits to help you manage your current wealth along with planning for your financial future. From protecting your wealth, to investing and paying down debts, wealth management is represented here from all angles.

Top subcategories on the Marketplace include financial wellness, mental/behavioral health, home/auto, identity theft and family health.

As a PlanSource Reseller, how does the Partner Marketplace benefit you and your clients?

As a reseller, the Partner Marketplace provides:

What does the enrollment experience look like?

The enrollment experience uses standardized content built around behavioral economics to drive enhanced employee awareness with templated EDI to ensure established required data fields. With our reference clients, integration is streamlined, eliminating file charges and reducing the need for implementation resources. Our integrated shopping experience allows the partners to be a part of the enrollment experience, unlike a legacy approach.

Each partner’s reference client is developed with the partners themselves for what works best for their type of benefit. We have two types of builds: residential and informational.

  • Residential indicates that an employee will enroll in the benefit during the shopping experience and PlanSource will then transmit the information via an EDI file.
  • Informational benefits display the same information, however the call to action to enroll will indicate that secondary action is needed to enroll in the benefit, such as downloading a partner’s app or visiting their website.

Partners provide specific collateral that they believe will drive employees to enroll in this benefit with the help of PlanSource’s behavioral economic principals. Once subscribed to the reference client, any changes that PlanSource makes to the shopping experience is updated automatically.

  2. Receive a quote and contracts for the Marketplace Partner
  3. Copy the template in your customer’s configuration portal
  4. Update required fields, test, and launch!
