Sacramento City Ordinance Requires Supplemental Sick Leave, Health and Safety Protocols

The SPSL is in addition to any other paid sick leave, paid time off or vacation time that an employer currently provides to an employee by statute, policy or collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Unused SPSL expires when the ordinance sunsets, and an employee is not entitled to be paid for unused SPSL under any circumstances.
