I work in an office of six people. I’ve been seeing one person for a couple weeks, and it will be up to a couple months (if it works out) by the holiday party. No one ever asks awkward questions about my dating life, though, so this is all me being worried about how it will look. Here we go….

I think the answer to this question does depend a bit on who we are, where we are, our level of privilege and power in our society, our background and identity, our experience, and more. A book I recommend is called How to Be an Anti-Racist , by Ibram X. We can and we must!

We get wrapped up in our work and let everything else suffer. As we allow our work to take over our life, it might be our workout routine that gets forgotten or a hobby that fades away. But more often than not, when we get really busy at work and we let it take over our lives, it’s the people we care about most who pay the price.

I have a new manager at work (about two months into the job). The thing is, increasingly, he spends pretty much all his time browsing the internet, clearly on non-work-related sites (easily 90% of the time, except when something work-related actually demands his attention). My new boss spends all his time on the internet.
