I played for the Sevens again and in the 2006 Commonwealth Games, but ultimately the virus was career-ending. After being forced into early retirement, my dream was crushed. She’s been able to coach me through many situations, allowing me to reframe my thinking in a way I simply could not have on my own. Definitely my wife.

Chuck retired from Memorial Hermann effective December 2019. Chuck models servant leadership with an emphasis on coaching and team building while using Malcolm Baldrige criteria as a platform for driving operational excellence. I formally retired in December 2019. In 2017, Chuck was named Chairman of the ACHE Board of Governors.
