In a study by the Association for Talent Development (ATD), 71 percent of HR professionals said their company conducts sexual harassment prevention training. adults believe changes need to be made to eliminate sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, with 44 percent saying better sexual harassment training is the key.

1 in the state of Illinois, the Workplace Transparency Act mandates workplace sexual harassment training for public and private organizations with more than 15 employees. Illinois is the sixth state in the last few years to create and pass a bill that would require workplace sexual harassment training.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) new report on sexual harassment data for fiscal year (FY) 2018 shows a more than 50 percent increase in sexual harassment lawsuits filed by the agency and a more than 12 percent increase in the number of charges it received over FY 2017.
