On June 15, 2020 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Justice Neil Gorsuch ruled that “an individual’s homosexuality or transgender status is not relevant to employment decisions.
