On July 6, 2015, the U.S. If the number is too high, an employer simply may convert the employee from exempt to non-exempt and not permit overtime. The DOL has suggested that the employee still ‘wins’ even if this occurs, because they may have more time off. The DOL entirely misses the employee relations aspect of this change.
