Terminating an Employee: When Is It Time?

Evil HR Lady

On television, terminating an employee looks easier than it really is. The employee makes a big mistake and boom—that’s it. However, in the real world, managers agonize over if or when they should let an employee go. They know that, by firing someone, they are taking away that person’s livelihood, which can be emotionally draining. However, sometimes it has to happen. After all, your restaurant can’t run properly, and may not succeed, if you’re staffed with bad employees.

Growing Trend for Open Workspaces Increases, but Not Everyone Is on Board

HR Daily Advisor

Workable

Whatever the case, explain why you’re cancelling the interview. This way, you’ll be able to maintain good relationships with candidates and invite them to interviews in the future. Keep candidates warm if you plan to reschedule your interview.

The Company’s Bottom Line is Directly Related To the Quality of Their Management

HR Bartender

The title of today’s post seems like a no-brainer, but it’s amazing how many organizations don’t invest in their management. These individuals are responsible for leading the organization. If you Google the definition of leadership , it’s the “action of leading a group of people or an organization.” To me, the only way a person can successfully do the “action of leading” is with influence. Coercion doesn’t work. Well, it might for a short time.

Where do you find the best recruiters?

The Tim Sackett Project

Logical Argument (that I had with someone recently): Best Recruiters = Best Companies to Work For. Rationale: The best recruiters bring in the best talent, the best talent makes the best companies. Rationale: If your company is the worst company to work for, meaning you have a bad environment, and a bunch of other negative stuff, it’s going to be very hard to recruit top talent to your organization.
