'A reader writes: We had a company vehicle with a high clearance requirement come back with significant roof damage. The employee driving it pointed it out to me, the driver manager, as if it was like that when he got it. The vehicle had gone out daily with several different drivers over the past few days. Unknown to drivers though, that vehicle had GPS tracking on it and I was able to see where it had been over the last several days.
'Training needs to mirror real life. Think about it. If I’m training you on how to change a bicycle tire and then I set you in front of a bus, that training wasn’t very useful.
